Course Details

The Risk Management course has been developed for all employees. The course incorporates interactive workplace simulations and animations to develop and reinforce the participants understanding of the OHS risk management process.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the learner should:

  • Understand the OHS risk management process
  • Understand the difference between hazards and risks
  • Identify common workplace hazards
  • Understand their responsibilities in relation to hazard identification and reporting
  • Understand the risk assessment process and how to use a risk assessment matrix
  • Understand the hierarchy of controls for managing workplace risks

  • The importance of OHS Risk Management
  • Common hazards in the workplace and how they are addressed
  • Hazard identification
  • Risk assessment
  • The hierarchy of controls
  • Review of risk controls
